Instagram post 2195129650827645084_5511213492 In our Christmas Appeal this year, we're asking if you would support young people who are speaking out against knife crime. A gift of £20 would be hugely appreciated and go towards more anti knife crime projects around the country. Link and more details below:

Instagram post 2175592737045317465_5511213492 You may remember that in the summer we worked with some amazing young people in Newham, helping them to write and produce a song about their experiences and feelings surrounding the current wave of knife crime which is deeply affecting them and their community.
This weekend we had an absolute blast at the red carpet premiere of the #Darknesstolight music videos.
Hosted and organised by the young leaders at Bonny Downs Community Association - there was dancing, glitter face painting, glow sticks, food, mocktails, a photo booth, and of course, the unforgettable music videos!
The young leaders and young people did everyone proud, speaking about the importance of "putting knives down and valuing life". It was so good to see so many friends, family, people from the community, including the local councillor and local MP coming to hear this important message.

Instagram post 2139997831522523276_5511213492 We first visited Children at Risk Action Network (CRANE) 10 years ago with a small mobile studio. Since then the studio has grown and the work has increased so much. They now make TV and radio adverts, videos, organise music competitions and provide song writing programmes - all working with children, particularly children at risk, to give them a voice about issues that are important to them.
We're so excited to be back in Kampala to make a film about the incredible growth and impact those 10 years have had on the community.
