Blossoms Network

Hyderabad is a city on the rise, with a booming technology industry and India’s largest film studio. However, the bright face of the city hides the struggles and poverty of many of its inhabitants, and thousands of children are still at risk despite Hyderabad’s push for prosperity. Child sexual abuse and domestic violence are two of the most serious problems faced by children in this area.
The Blossom Network connects local projects and churches to fight these issues, promoting the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of children and focusing on the provision of proper trauma counselling. They also concentrate on caring for the caregivers, as looking after more than 5,000 of Hyderabad’s children is hard work and staff are often exhausted and undertrained. The network makes developing and supporting caregivers a priority, through various workshops and retreats.
